Machame Route
A much quieter route, more challenging and much more scenic - the route offers much wilder and more natural viewpoints as it is less used. This route can be rather strenuous, however the ascent is rather gradual unlike that on Umbwe. The climb can be done in 6 days however it is advisable to add a day for acclimatization. Accomodation is in huts or tents. (We usually combine this route with the Mweka route on descent which provides a different scenery and easier descent)
