TANZANIA DREAM HONEYMOON OFFER

Aim 4 Africa is offering the discerning couple GBP£100 off  a 2-week dream honeymoon in Tanzania. The program is based on a safari in the famous Northern Tanzanian national parks of Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater followed by a week in the romantic isle of Zanzibar.
Added to this is a complimentary romantic cruise at sunset in a traditional Zanzibari Dhow (traditional vessel with traditional lateen sails), where the couple are serenaded by musicians whilst they sip chilled wine or fruit juice and delectable nibbles as the dhow gently sails along the coastline of Zanzibar.

(For those who are not so keen on sailing, an alternative excursion in Zanzibar can be exchanged free of charge)

Programs are tailored to suit specific dates of travel (note that no treks are undertaken in April-May due to the long rains which makes trails treacherous)

PILGRIMAGE TO THE "MOUNTAIN OF GOD"

According to Maasai Legend, Mt Oldo-inyo-Lengai (translated as Mountain of God) is the sacred site where God communicates with people by pouring out lava and hot ashes from the heart of the mountain especially during times of drought which the Maasai translate as God's anger. To pray for forgiveness and rain, the Maasai will select a member from each clan to make a pilgrimage to the Mountain of God, together with female livestock which they offer as sacrifice on the mountain. Women who are infertile may also accompany the troupe to pray for a child.

Oldoinyo L'engai is of particular interest to geologists because it is the world's only active volcano that erupts natrocarbonatite lava. It is also the only active volcano in this part of the East African Rift Valley, though there are many older extinct volcanoes in this region. Oldoinyo L'engai rises above the Rift Valley floor to a height of approximately 2886 metres.

Special Offer:  Receive a Special Discount of GBP£50per person for a 6-7 day camping safari in June-September 2010 to include Lake Natron if booked by 31st Jan 2010 Contact us for Details.

Adventure-seekers visiting Lake Natron may wish to trek up this unique volcano (Oldonyo Len'gai) from the base near Lake Natron, beginning around midnight for 7-10 hours. For further information please fill in the Enquiry Form.
